Tech repair start-up in high demand thanks to business support
Local family-run business Cybersphere, has seen a surge in demand for its tech repair services since launching the business this year.
Cybersphere aim to provide professional technology solutions at affordable prices, such as hardware and software repairs and maintenance.
Owner of Cybersphere, Christopher McDonald from Harlow Green, said: "I kept seeing people being overcharged for low quality mobile and hardware repairs, and I wanted to provide a solution to this problem. I had the skills to provide a high quality and low cost service with transparent pricing, but I was still very unsure about how to set up a business from scratch.
"At the start of lockdown, I attended the Business Gateshead virtual start-up boot camp. Since then I have been working 1-2-1 with one of their start-up advisors who have helped me write my business plan and apply for funding.
"I'm very thankful for the help and support I've received from Business Gateshead over the past few months; setting up a business is hard enough, never mind during a lockdown. The support and guidance I've been given has been absolutely crucial to the start-up of my business. I'd advise anyone in Gateshead who is thinking about setting up a business, to get in touch with the Business Gateshead team."

Christopher was also supported by 'Enterprise Support in the North East 2' which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund. Cybersphere is now trading and has been met with high demand for its professional services.
