Digital art start-up expands during lockdown
A digital art start-up has expanded its product range in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dani Digi Art, based in Gateshead, started trading earlier this year, creating hand drawn art and personalised gifts.
During lockdown, the family-run business saw an increase in demand for products such as personalised facemasks and mugs.
Owner of Dani Digi Art, Dani Graham, said: "Setting up our business was challenging. I attended a Business Gateshead boot camp earlier this year, which really helped me understand more about starting a business and gave me the skills to help develop Dani Digi Art.
"We started producing clothing, drawings and gifts but since the Covid-19 pandemic, there has understandably been huge demand for facemasks and personalised mugs. We have worked with two local schools to produce personalised items, and several small companies to make mugs for staff members. The idea being personalised items can help reduce cross-contamination.
"Lockdown has been an uncertain time for businesses but we are very pleased that we have been able to not only continue trading but to have experienced an increase in demand for our products."

Dani was supported by 'Enterprise Support in the North East 2' which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
