Aspire Technology Solutions moves to new Gateshead Quays HQ
Aspire will occupy the 30,000sqft Pipewell building located on the site of the iconic former Baja Beach Club overlooking the River Tyne.
Pipewell Quay, designed by award-winning Newcastle-based architects Ryder, underwent significant redevelopment by Adderstone Group as the property had been unused since Baja Beach Club's closure in 2008.
The three-story building incorporates state of the art office space, breakout zones and meeting rooms. All the meeting rooms are named after influential innovators, including codebreaker and mathematician Alan Turing, and North East pioneers like Joseph Swan, whose Low Fell house was the first private residence to have electric lighting.
MD Chris Fraser said:
To support our continued growth plans, we wanted a new iconic HQ and the best possible working environment for our people. Pipewell Quay was top of our list. We have ambitious plans to improve the connectivity and cloud performance available to North East businesses. Our new office based in the heart of the region is perfectly geared to help us deliver our plans. Adderstone have done a tremendous job with the Pipewell Quay office development, the entire team is really fired up about moving in.
Aspire have ambitious plans to improve digital innovation across the North East region and have invested millions in local infrastructure to launch their own full fibre North East network.
The company currently employs over 200 people with hopes to create a further 150 jobs at the Gateshead HQ and its new office at Teesside's Fusion Hive.
