Games Developer Parable Studios joins creative community at Northern Design Centre

Parable Studios, a games development company that adopts an ethical approach to AI in tech and gaming, has joined the community at Northern Design Centre (NDC) in the Baltic Quarter, further strengthening the area's reputation as a centre for creative and digital innovation.  

Northern Design Centre is a landmark home for creative businesses, providing flexible studio and office space, sector‑specific support, and a vibrant environment built around collaboration and innovation. The arrival of Parable Studios adds to NDC's growing community of designers, makers, digital professionals and creative entrepreneurs. 

Parable Studios decision to locate to NDC followed a viewing of the facilities, which showcased not only the high‑quality workspace but also the strong community ethos that defines the centre. Opportunities to speak directly with existing tenants played a key role in attracting the company, offering insight into the collaborative culture and peer support available within the building. 

Access to local talent was another major factor the relocation. Gateshead is home to a growing pool of creative and digital professionals and being based at NDC places Parable Studios at the centre of this talent base, with opportunities to connect, collaborate, and recruit locally. 

The move was also supported through a Soft Landing package, provided to help new businesses establish themselves quickly and confidently. The package offers flexibility and targeted support, with benefits including six months free office space, making it easier for growing companies to transition into new premises and focus on developing their work.
